Founder of Coffee Famille 咖啡家, a lovely neighborhood micro-roastery specialty coffee café. In the year 2006 & 2007, Ving had the wonderful opportunity to learn, work and master the fine art of roasting from Wein Mountain Roast at Taiwan. For those years, Ving was under the tutelage and apprenticeship of the owner Jonathan Yang, who is a well-known SCAA cupping judge, CQI Q grader, and WSC (World Siphonist Championship) certified Judge. As a Barista, she specializes in pour-overs.
is regarded in the coffee industry as one of the most experienced Espresso Machine Technician and Barista Trainer. He started 8 years ago at Coffex Coffee at a time when Coffee Machine Technicians have to be self-sufficient and self-taught. His determination began the first time he had to froth milk which was a very clumsy experience. Since then he promised himself to be a highly skilled Barista and Machine Technician. Having competed professionally as a Barista, David placed 2nd runner up at the First Battle of Barista in Malaysia. In 2011 he had a short stint at Espressamente Illy where he got much more exposure. David later continued on his career in Starbucks as a Shift Supervisor where he lead and managed a team and full Chain Café for 1 year. He has also been a guest Barista at a top café in China that serves nothing less than Cup of Excellence Coffee and where he learnt the finer art of Coffee brewing.

Yip Leong Sum
currently pursuing the Roaster Guild Certification of Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA). She attended her Barista Workshop in Highlander Coffee Singapore and also holds certification in Coffee Expert, Creative Coffee and Master Barista from Università del caffè (University of Coffee) of Trieste, Italy. She is the owner of Beans Depot (a coffee beans retailer that strives to provide personalized coffee indulgence)

It is a controlled and certified system with a curriculum written and updated by the best minds in the coffee industry. Our Professional SCAE Barista Level 1 and 2 Certifications are based on both technical/theory knowledge and practical examinations.
In his tenure there, he brought a new wave of speciality coffee from Sara Lee to 4 and 5 stars hotels including the likes of KLCC Convention Centre, JW Marriott KL, Ritz Carlton KL, and Singapore, the InterContinental Group of Hotels from Singapore to Bangkok, the Pan Pacific Group of Hotels from Singapore to Thailand and last but not least, the YTL group of hotels and resorts including the Vistana hotels, and world-renowned Pangkor Laut Resort, Tanjong Jara Resort and Cameron Highland Resort.
A major part of his experience in training were developed during those years when he not only developed the accounts for Sara Lee/DE, he also had to train all the hotel staffs and their respective restaurants on the proper methods of coffee making and serving with an assortment of coffee machines ranging from bulk brewers for Catering and Banquets, to semi-automatic espresso machines requiring skilled baristi and to coffee solutions for small meeting rooms and seminars.
Danny Pang subsequently took his passion and embarked on an entrepreneurial streak to begin his own café business in Geek Terminal using Illy coffee and deploying the first full manual Lever Espresso Machine in the Singapore Café Scene.
In 2009, Danny embarked on a new café brand called Espressoul. Espressoul Café captures the modern café experience of Italy Milan with a coffee bar that also doubles up as bar to serve alcoholic beverages. In two years from 2009 to 2011, he took the café operations to the corporates by managing their in-house café with Citibank, KPMG, Unilever and WPP. During this time, the passion for coffee continue to drive him as he conducts his own in-house barista training and he further pursued education in coffee with the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe (SCAE), an international organisation that is responsible for coffee standards worldwide and the organisers of World Barista Championship held annually around the world.
In 2009 that same year, he was interviewed and was featured in the local documentary show called Food Specialist where he was featured working in his first busy cafe in Changi Business Park and conducting coffee appreciation talks to guests at Ritz Carlton Singapore at their lobby cafe. In 2009, he became the only SCAE Level 1 and Level 2 certified Barista and Authorised Trainer. In 2011, after conducting SCAE sanctioned Barista courses, he became a Barista Certifier for SCAE to conduct certifications for baristas locally and in the region. He was the first SCAE Authorised Trainer and Barista Certifier for SCAE in this part of the world until 2012 Aug when he organised an SCAE Authorised Trainer Course to increase the number of Authorised Trainers and Certifiers to 9 in Singapore and Malaysia.
In 2012, he also helped setup the SCAE Singapore Chapter here and is currently the Secretary for the Association. The aim of the association is to develop the awareness of Speciality Coffee and the craft of Barista, Roaster, Green Coffee Trading and Cupping for the region.
Throughout his coffee career since 2005, Danny was also invited to conduct coffee appreciation classes for the public. In 2009, Asian Food Channel Studio engaged him to conduct regular monthly weekend courses at their Orchard Central Studio. In 2011, he was invited to conduct courses for Delonghi machines. He did this and several other public coffee appreciation and catering service in the midst of his busy schedules of running Espressoul Cafe Operations.
In June 2012, Danny Pang has relinquished his duties in his business and embarked on the Advance Certificate of Training and Assessment Course. He is now fully ACTA certified and is conducting courses as Associate Trainer (i.e. Part-time) for Institutions such as SHATEC and Guilford Training Centre Pte Ltd.
He is also the current Country Manager for Coffex, an regional coffee wholesaler and distributor in Singapore.

As a Barista, she specializes in pour-overs and siphon coffee. In her own personal capacity she loves her medium roast and it is her signature roast profile.
In 2010 she began to share her passion in coffee by creating a Facebook page named Coffee Famille. In 2011 she started her coffee business as a micro coffee roaster and Coffee Famille was finally brought from virtual to reality. She is known for her modest and gentle disposition and takes great pride in sharing her passion with others through her brewing and roasting of coffee.
Prior to her coffee journey in 2008, Yip was a HR Practitioner that had a career in foreign & local financial institutions, conglomerate and multimedia broadcasting. She had vast experiences in project management especially HRIS implementation, process automation & re-engineering and champion in compensation & benefits administration and system migration from different platforms.
As a partner of LoveyDoveyz, Yip is also a Planner for event & wedding planning. She provides a one-stop wedding service centre to customize a dream wedding for her customers.
Since then he promised himself to be a highly skilled Barista and Machine Technician. Anuar has commissioned machines and trained in large 5 Star Hotel chains as well as fine dining restaurants, cafes and chain coffee outlets. He has also participated as a Technical Judge several times at national level Barista Competition. Today, Anuar is a Certified Specialty Coffee Association of Europe Professional Barista and a highly sought after trainer and technician. Known for his nurturing and humble disposition, Anuar is highly engaging and contributes his vast experience to his participants and clients.
His philosophy in coffee is “Connecting with People through coffee.” He is known for his gentle and humble kindness towards his clients and friends.
Nicolas holds his SCAE Barista Level 1 and 2, Brewing and Grinding Level 1 & 2 from Speciality Coffee Association of Europe and is an authorized SCAE Trainer and Certifier. Nicolas is currently working on completing his Advance Certificate In Training and Assessment (ACTA) from The Institute of Adult Learning, Singapore (Govt).
Our Training Academy provides participants with individual Coffee stations equipped with Espresso Machines and Commercial Grinders as well as a complete range of brewing apparatus.
